Meet the Artist
Hi! I’m Alexis, the hands and heart behind Little Kiddo.

The Art of the Dot
Every piece you see at Little Kiddo begins with a single dot. Using a fine-line pigment ink pen, I hand-draw each character using a technique called stippling. I use thousands—sometimes tens of thousands—of tiny, individual dots to create depth, shadow, and texture. I then add soft watercolour elements for a modern, sophisticated finish.
This slow, intentional process allows me to capture the gentle nature of these animals in a way that feels soft enough for a nursery, yet detailed enough to stay on your walls as your baby grows into a "big kid."
A Journey of Resilience
My path to creating Little Kiddo hasn't always been a straight line. Navigating life with Narcolepsy has its unique challenges, but it is also what led me to this incredibly meditative art form. The focus required for stippling has become my sanctuary—a way to channel my energy into something tangible, beautiful, and lasting.
I started Little Kiddo to create nursery art that wasn't "too babyish." I wanted to design pieces that parents would love just as much as their children do—art that transitions beautifully from the nursery to the "big kid" years.
Handmade for Your Family
As a small business owner and a mum, I am so grateful you’ve chosen to support my work. When you hang a Little Kiddo print, you aren't just decorating a wall; you are supporting a small family, a real artist, and a mum who is proof that dreams can be built even when life looks a little different.
Thank you for being part of my story.
